Terms of Service
The agreement between the company that organises videos on People Stories and the provider of the service.
The parties
These terms are an agreement between Leonardo English AB (“People Stories”, “we”), organisation number 559484-2857, of Wrangelsgatan 4 B, 416 62 Gothenburg, Sweden, and the company or organisation that creates an account (“you”, “the customer”). By creating a workspace or signing in, you accept these terms on behalf of that organisation.
The service
People Stories lets an organiser collect short video clips from colleagues, invited by a private link, and assemble them into a single welcome or farewell video. Contributors record on a phone or upload a video file; the organiser reviews, trims, orders and hides clips before the video is built. Finished videos are shared through a private watch link and can be downloaded as an MP4. People Stories is video-only: we do not offer audio-only, text or photo contributions.
Your account and responsibilities
- You confirm that you are authorised to collect video from the colleagues you invite, and that doing so complies with your own organisation's policies.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter, including recipient names and any consent you tell contributors about beyond what People Stories itself asks for.
- You must not use People Stories to collect or share content that is unlawful, harassing, or that you do not have the right to share.
- You are responsible for keeping your sign-in secure and for activity on your workspace.
Subscriptions and billing
Creating a workspace, collecting clips and previewing a video is free. Publishing a video for the first time requires an active subscription on the Team or Company band, billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Prices are shown on our pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from your billing settings, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Applicable tax is calculated and collected by Stripe where required.
Published videos can be watched through their links while the subscription is active. When a cancelled subscription reaches the end of its billing period, those links stop playing and you cannot publish new videos or updates. If a renewal payment fails, everything keeps working for seven days while Stripe retries the payment; after that the links stop playing until the payment succeeds. A video published with a redemption code stays watchable without a subscription. Nothing is deleted when links stop playing: if you resubscribe, the same links work again. See our privacy notice for how long we keep a project's media once a workspace becomes inactive.
Refunds
If you believe you were charged in error, contact hello@peoplestories.video within 14 days of the charge and we will review it. Refunds are considered case by case and are not automatic.
Ownership of your content
You and the contributors you invite retain ownership of the clips submitted and the finished video. We do not use your content for anything other than providing the service to you, and we do not license it to third parties. You grant us only the rights needed to store, process and deliver your content as the service describes.
Acceptable use
You must not use People Stories to attempt to break the service, to access another workspace's data, or to circumvent the limits described in our documentation. We may suspend or terminate an account that we reasonably believe is being used unlawfully or abusively.
Availability and support
We aim to keep People Stories available and to build and deliver videos reliably, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If a video fails to build, the organiser is shown a message and can retry; contact us at hello@peoplestories.video if a retry does not resolve it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, People Stories is provided on an “as is” basis. Neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability arising from these terms is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Termination
You may stop using People Stories and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or end an account for a material breach of these terms that is not fixed within a reasonable time of us telling you about it, or immediately for serious misuse. On termination, we handle your data as described in our privacy notice.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, with the courts of Gothenburg having exclusive jurisdiction. Before starting formal proceedings, both parties agree to try to resolve a dispute informally by contacting hello@peoplestories.video.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will tell active organisers by email before it takes effect.
